An oral history of Sister Inez Mary Beckel, a Sister of Charity of Seton Hill from 1932 until 2015. The interview was conducted by Sister James Marie Malone on July 5, 1984.
Sister Inez Mary Beckel - born Inez Mary Beckel on June 6, 1912 - entered the Sisters of Charity of Seton Hill in September of 1932. She received a bachelor's degree in music education from Duquesne University in 1955 and a master's degree in music education, also from Duquesne, in 1960. She served as an elementary school teacher, choir director, music teacher, and CCD educator in Pennsylvania, Arizona, and Washington, D.C. She received a papal blessing from Pope Benedict XVI on her 100th birthday. She died on December 18, 2014.
