An oral history of Sister Helen Louise Connelly, a Sister of Charity of Seton Hill from 1929 until 2005. The interview was conducted by Sister Marie Corona Miller on September 4, 1987, March 1, 1988, and June 3, 1988.
Sister Helen Louise Connelly - born Mary Ellen Connelly on January 29, 1913 - entered the Sisters of Charity of Seton Hill in September of 1929. She received a bachelor's degree in elementary education from the University of Pittsburgh in 1946 and a master's degree in education for the deaf from the University of Buffalo in 1954. She was missioned in Arizona before teaching at DePaul Institute from 1938-1967 and again from 1970-1976, also serving at Roselia Foundling and Maternity Home for a brief period of time. Sister Helen Louise died on March 4, 2005.
