An oral history of Sister M. Naomi Walsh, a Sister of Charity of Seton Hill from 1932 until 1994. The interview was conducted by Sister Marie Corona Miller on March 12, 1988.
Sister M. Naomi Walsh was born on December 2nd, 1909 in Lackawanna, NY. Daughter of English immigrants, John Walsh and Esther Ainsworth, Mary Walsh entered the community on September 8th, 1932 as Sister M. Naomi Walsh with her Reception of Habit on January 1st, 1933 and her Temporary Profession on January 1st, 1935.
Sister M. Naomi was a librarian at Elizabeth Seton High School from 1950 to 1951 and 1958 to 1960. She was a librarian at Sacred Heart High School from 1952 to 1956 and 1960 to 1967. Sr. M. Naomi was also a librarian at Seton Hill College from 1967 to 1971 and at Greensburg Central Catholic from 1971 to 1981. Then, she was a librarian at St. Bruno Parish from 1984 to 1989 and then at St. Bruno Rectory from 1989 until 1993. Receiving her B.A. of History from Seton Hill College in 1932, she pursued her B.S. of Librarian Science from Carnegie Institute of Technology in 1936.
Sister M. Naomi Walsh passed on December 14th, 1994 at the age of 85.
