Mrs. John Lambing,
Mrs. J. L. O'Connor,
Miss Fralie Brennan,
My dear kind friends, with grateful hearts we acknowledge the receipt of your kind letter, also last received per Express.
Your kind words and substantial proof of friendship are highly appreciated by our poor Sisters who were saved; also by our entire Community who gratefully remember you in their prayers. Some of the rescued Sisters are still in Johnstown helping as best they can. The others are here and with our young lady pupils, busily engaged in making clothing, and shipping to the poor "Valley" sufferers.
That our dear Lord may bless you a thousand times in return for your generous charity, is the wish of
Yours gratefully in Ct.
