Description
An oral history of Sister M. Camilla Lasher, a Sister of Charity of Seton Hill from 1918 until 1988. The interview was conducted by Sister Marie Corona Miller on April 13, 1987.
Sister Camilla Lasher - born Cecilia Dorothy Lasher on February 5, 1900 - entered the Sisters of Charity of Seton Hill in December of 1918. She taught at a number of Pittsburgh and Greensburg area schools, including St. Benedict School - later known as Cathedral School - from 1944-1945, 1948-1953, and 1957-1967. She also taught at St. Paul School and St. Bruno School in the mid-fifties and at Cathedral School in Altoona from 1967-1971. From 1971-1977, she volunteered at the Seton Hill College bookstore. Sister Camilla died on July 19, 1988.
