This digital exhibit was created and written by Samantha Stossel (Sisters of Charity of Seton Hill Archives (Greensburg) intern, Summer 2021).

Samantha would like to thank all of the Sisters of Charity of Seton Hill for their interest, support, and participation in this project! In particular, Samantha would like to thank Sr. Alice Ruane, who was willing to spend an entire afternoon talking about her life and experiences and recording an oral history interview. Special thanks also to Casey Bowser, archivist for the Sisters of Charity of Seton Hill here in Greensburg, for supervising this project as well as providing insightful and helpful professional guidance and mentorship the entire summer. In addition, Samantha would like to express her gratitude to Sr. Louise Grundish, archivist emerita, who willingly shared many stories about her own life experiences and those of her order (and also cheerfully answered many, many questions about the Sisters and their history!). Finally, Samantha would like to thank Sr. Seon Mi Jin, who patiently and with a smile taught her how to pronounce Korean words, showed how to spell Korean place names in the English alphabet, and read over sections of the exhibit draft to check information about the Korean Province.

The sources utilized for this exhibit include records in the Sisters of Charity of Seton Hill Archives (U.S. Province), as well as books written about the history of the sisters.
