An oral history of Sister Mary Frederick Blatt, a Sister of Charity of Seton Hill from 1932 until 2003. The interview was conducted by Sister Virginia Pascaretta on January 29, 1984 and February 5, 1984.
Sister Mary Frederick Blatt - born Mary Clare Blatt on March 1, 1915 - entered the Sisters of Charity of Seton Hill in September of 1932. She received a medical technologist degree and took a correspondence course in hospital purchasing. She served as the medical technologist at Pittsburgh Hospital until 1948 and as laboratory supervisor and technician at Providence Hospital in Beaver Falls, Pennsylvania from 1948-1964. She later served as purchasing director at Assumption Hall in Greensburg. Her sister was Judge Genevieve Blatt. Sister Mary Frederick died on April 13, 2003.
