An oral history of Sister John Baptist Curren, a Sister of Charity of Seton Hill from 1916 until 1989. The interview was conducted by Sister Marie Corona Miller on April 20, 1987.
Sister John Baptist Curren - born Catherine Jane Curren on May 8, 1900 - entered the Sisters of Charity of Seton Hill in March of 1916. She received a bachelor's degree in English from Duquesne University in 1944. She taught in a number of schools in the Pittsburgh area, including St. Philip, Holy Innocents, St. Luke, and Sacred Heart. Sister John Baptist died on December 28, 1989. Her blood sister, Sister Mary Boniface, died on that date one year later.
