An oral history of Sister Marguerite Guinagh, a Sister of Charity of Seton Hill from 1925 until 1992. The interview was conducted by Sister Marie Corona Miller on August 18, 1986.
Sister Marguerite Guinagh - born Margaret Guinagh on July 19, 1905 - entered the Sisters of Charity of Seton Hill in December of 1925. She received a bachelor's degree in French and Latin from Seton Hill College in 1925. Her studies in French continued at McGill University in 1933, Western Reserve in 1937, the University of Notre Dame in 1943, Laval University in Quebec in 1948, and at the University of Delaware in 1960. She taught English, Latin, and French at a number of Pittsburgh-area schools, most notably at Sacred Heart High School from 1945-1952 and again from 1967-1980. Sister Marguerite died on February 1, 1992.
