An oral history of Sister Bridgetta Fitzpatrick, a Sister of Charity of Seton Hill from 1930 until 1998. The interview was conducted by Sister Marie Corona Miller on January 24, 1987.
Sister Mary Bridgetta Fitzpatrick - born Helen Mercedes Fitzpatrick on March 17, 1908 - entered the Sisters of Charity of Seton Hill in December of 1930. She received a bachelor's degree in elementary education from the University of Pittsburgh in 1945 and a master's degree in special education for the deaf from Wayne State University in 1945. She also took a course in Braille at the Catholic University of America. She served at DePaul Institute for the Deaf from 1943-1994, serving as Principal from 1963-1969. Sister Bridgetta died on August 3, 1998.
