An oral history of Sister M. Agatha Proctor, a Sister of Charity of Seton Hill from 1935 until 1990. The interview was conducted by Sisters Marie Corona Miller on July 3, 1987.
Sister M. Agatha Proctor was born on December 10th, 1905 in Pittsburgh, Pa. Daughter of William Proctor and Wary O'Brien, Helen Josephine Proctor entered the community on March 25th, 1935 at the age of 29 as Sister M. Agatha Proctor.
Sister M. Agatha was an elementary teacher of grades 3 through 6 from 1937 to 1979 at various places: St. John, Tucson AZ, Sacred Heart, Holy Innocents, St. James Wilkinsburg, St. Kieran, St. Teresa Munhall, and Carnegie Catholic. She received her B. Ed. in Elementary Education from Duquesne University in 1949.
Sister M. Agatha Proctor passed on May 15th, 1990 at the age of 84.
