Beckel, Sister Stella Marie
Sister Stella Marie Beckel - born Edna Beckel on April 6, 1906 - entered the Sisters of Charity of Seton Hill in September of 1925. She received a bachelor's degree in history from Seton Hill College in 1938 and a master's degree in history from Duquesne University in 1945. She taught at schools in Arizona from 1970-1988, as well as in numerous other schools throughout her teaching career. She was principal of Elizabeth Seton High School from 1956-1959. She died on October 13, 1999.
