Lacey, Sister Mary Noreen
An oral history of Sister Mary Noreen Lacey, a Sister of Charity of Seton Hill from 1944 until 2009. The interview was conducted by Sister Marie Corona Miller on September 23 and 24, 1986.
Sister Mary Noreen Lacey - born Mildred Patricia Lacey on February 7, 1927 - entered the Sisters of Charity of Seton Hill in September of 1944. She received a bachelor's degree in elementary education from Seton Hill College in 1957. She was one of the first four Sisters of Charity to be missioned to Korea in 1960 and taught at St. Joseph School in Kang Tjin from 1961-2002. She died in Korea on November 12, 2009 and is buried there.
